Trading at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday jumped as the bourse posted a turnover of Ksh728 million from movement of 29.7 million shares.
During the previous session on Monday, the NSE had seen 19 million shares worth Ksh602 million traded.
Safaricom accounted for nearly three-quarters of the days traded value, posting 20 million shares valued at Ksh534 million.
The giant telco’s share price traded at between Ksh26.10 and Ksh27 on Tuesday, wrapping the day at a price of Ksh26.50.
Investors wealth at the bourse stood at Ksh2.36 trillion by end of the trading session.
The Bond Market had bonds worth Ksh1 billion transacted.

All the indices bars at the trading floor finished in the green zone, with the NSE 20 Share Index registering above the 3,000 point mark for the first time in nearly five months.
At 3004.88, the NSE 20 Share Index was also followed by the positive gains in the All Share Index (NASI), which was up 2.36 points or 1.52% to stand at 157.85.
The NSE 25 Share Index added 65.76 points to stand at 3999.21.
In the sectors, the Banking Sector had shares worth Ksh120 million transacted which accounted for 16.47% of the day’s traded value.
The Construction & Allied Sector moved shares worth Ksh19.4 million, while the Energy & Petroleum Sector had shares worth Ksh28.8 million traded.
Deals in the Insurance Sector amounted to Ksh5.7 million, while the Manufacturing & Allied Sector had shares worth Ksh8.4 million transacted.

As for individual companies, KCB Group registered a 2.68% gain to close the day at Ksh42.15 with shares worth Ksh67.9 million transacted. Barclays Bank moved 3.3 million shares worth Ksh38 million and closed at Ksh11.50.
Bamburi Cement moved 149,000 shares valued at Ksh19 million, with KenolKobil trading 959,000 shares valued at Ksh20.6 million.
Kenya Power & Lighting shares climbed by 5.10% to Ksh4.95 with shares worth Ksh7 million realized.
while Kenya-Re declined by 2.44% to Kes.14.00, registering shares worth Ksh4.6 million
E.A Breweries exchanged 37,000 shares valued at Ksh8 million at between Ksh210 and Ksh215.
