Rodgers Kipembe Mpuru is one of the iconic names on social media, due to the opulence it manifests to online followers.
For a majority of Kenyans, Mpuru’s lifestyle is a dream that they might never live for the rest of their lives.
The law graduate from Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) owns at least 18 high-end cars including a Porsche Cayenne, Land Rover Discovery, Toyota V8, 3 Range Rovers, and 6 Mercedes Benz among others.
He traces his journey to wealth from a car wash he started in South B after graduating from the university, among other businesses including a salvage yard called Rodgers Place along Bunyala Road. The yard sits on a one-acre piece of land and accommodates over 200 wrecked vehicles.
Mpuru also has interests in politics, being among the founders of the National Ordinary Peoples Empowerment Union (NOPEU), and the current Secretary-General
The son to former Tigania East Member of Parliament Mpuru Aburi also owns Meru TV and Thiiri FM, TV and radio stations that broadcast in the Ameru language.
Mpuru also owns two multimillion homes, a multimillion mansion sitting on a 3-acre piece of land in Karen, Nairobi and a bungalow in his home village of Tigania East, Meru County.
Kipembe is also said to own a microfinance company with branches across Kenya and an upcoming TV station.
