The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced a series of executive appointments as part of its efforts to enhance service delivery and strengthen its institutional capacity.

In a statement issued on Thursday, September 11, 2025, the tax agency said the new changes are aimed at driving organisational excellence while ensuring accountability and continuity.

KRA confirmed the appointment of Nancy Ngétich, EBS, as the Commissioner for the Shared Services Department. Her appointment took effect on September 11, 2025.

“Effective 11th September 2025, Nancy Ngétich EBS has been appointed as the Commissioner for the Shared Services Department,” the authority said.

Ngétich has been serving in an acting capacity since February 2023. During this period, she oversaw major organisational reforms, aligned human resources with KRA’s 9th Corporate Plan, and promoted technology adoption to boost revenue mobilisation.

Previously, she was the Deputy Commissioner of Policy and International Affairs in the Customs and Border Control Department at KRA. She also worked as a Senior Manager for Customs and Tax Advisory at Ernst & Young LLP.

KRA said she has been instrumental in spearheading customs reforms, trade facilitation, and policy negotiations within the African Continental Free Trade Area and the East African Community.

The new commissioner is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya, the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya and the Kenya Institute of Management.

In addition to her appointment, the authority announced changes in the Large and Medium Taxpayers Department.

“CS Rispah Simiyu FCCA, EBS, has been seconded to the National Treasury and Economic Planning,” KRA said.

It added that Doreen Mbingi, the Deputy Commissioner in charge of Compliance for the East and South of Nairobi, will take over leadership of the department in an acting capacity.

“The Authority congratulates Ms Ngétich and Ms Mbingi on their appointments and urges all taxpayers and stakeholders to continue extending their support and collaboration,” the statement read.

KRA further emphasised its commitment to its mandate.

“As KRA, we reaffirm our commitment to fulfilling our mandate of revenue mobilisation for national development, while delivering efficient, fair and transparent services to all taxpayers across the country,” the authority stated.
