Kingdom Bank has opened a new branch on Tom Mboya Street, strengthening its footprint in one of Nairobi’s busiest commercial zones and bringing its SME-focused banking model even closer to the city’s everyday traders and professionals.

The branch sits on the ground floor of Nature House, a spot surrounded by constant foot traffic, informal markets, retail shops, and offices that feed the energy of the CBD from morning to night.

Anyone who walks through that stretch of the CBD knows how essential small traders are to the daily economy, and the bank is positioning itself right at the centre of that activity by offering services where people actually work and earn.

Kingdom Bank managing director and CEO Anthony Mburu said the expansion is part of a deliberate push to support entrepreneurs more practically. He explained that many business owners struggle with impersonal banking systems, and the bank wants to meet them in a way that feels more human and more tailored.

“At Kingdom Bank, we recognise that no two businesses are alike. Each entrepreneur has a unique story and a different set of challenges and ambitions. Our approach is not one-size-fits-all; we design financial solutions that are personal, flexible, and truly responsive to individual business needs,” Mburu said.

He encouraged traders and professionals operating along Tom Mboya Street, and even those who come into the CBD from other estates, to see the bank as a long-term partner.

“We are here to walk alongside MSMEs and to provide not just banking services, but partnership, understanding, and shared growth. We invite every trader, professional, and entrepreneur to join us, to let us be part of their journey as they build the next chapter of Nairobi’s enterprise story,” he added.

Personal and business needs

The new branch will handle both personal and business needs. For individuals, it will offer everyday banking and personal loans for salaried clients.

For businesses, the branch will serve those seeking working capital, asset financing, and stock financing services that are especially important on Tom Mboya Street, where traders often need quick support to restock or expand.

Women entrepreneurs will also access Faidi Dada, Kingdom Bank’s signature loan product designed specifically to support female-led businesses.

Beyond credit, the branch will play a role in easing the daily operations of small businesses by offering payment collection support.

Many enterprises along this corridor handle high-volume transactions and need reliable systems that help them process payments faster and stay organised.

Kingdom Bank has positioned this branch as more than a transactional point. It is meant to function as a service centre that offers face-to-face assistance, quick turnaround, and staff who understand the realities of Nairobi’s business environment.
