Fresh from their dominant performance in the 2024–25 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women’s Premier League, the Kenya Police Bullets Football Club are preparing to represent Kenya in the forthcoming CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers for 2025.

Hosted at Nairobi’s Nyayo National Stadium and the Ulinzi Sports Complex, the qualifiers will see the Bullets open their Group A campaign against Uganda’s Kampala Queens on September 4 at 4:00 p.m. local time.

The fixture sets the stage for what promises to be a thrilling showcase of Kenyan talent, with the team determined to secure a coveted spot in the CAF Women’s Champions League finals.

The National Police Service has thrown its full support behind the side, calling on Kenyans to fill the stands and rally behind the squad. “We are proud of our champions and wish them success as they represent Kenya,” the service said in a statement. “We call upon all Kenyans to turn out in large numbers to rally behind our team.”

The tournament features nine top clubs from the CECAFA region, divided into three groups. Group B includes defending champions CBE, Burundi’s Top Girls Academy, and Rwanda’s Rayon Sports WFC, while Group C pits Tanzania’s JKT Queens against South Sudan’s Yei Joint Stars and Zanzibar’s JKU Princess. The top team from each group, along with the best runner-up, will progress to the semi-finals, culminating in the final on September 16.

As Kenya’s sole representative, the Bullets carry the nation’s hopes. With the advantage of home soil, their performance has the potential to redefine the country’s place in regional women’s football, following the men’s side’s spirited run to the quarter-finals of CHAN 2024, where they bowed out to Madagascar.
