Veteran journalist Jeff Koinange on Monday turned 53 and his fans took to social media to wish him a Happy Birthday. Also celebrating their birthday anniversaries are former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, 74, and media personality Julie Gichuru, 45.

Koinange, one of Kenya’s most experienced TV journalists having worked with KTN, K24 and CNN previously, was born on January 7, 1966.

Among those who wished him a Happy Birthday was Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore who tweeted: Many Happy Returns to my very good friend @KoinangeJeff. Here’s hoping he stops using unnecessary CAPITAL letters in his tweets now that he has come of age.”

But the witty effort failed as Koinange proceeded to do exactly that in his response:
