The government has announced that Friday, October 31, 2025, will be the final day for the ongoing overseas job recruitment exercise in Nairobi and Mombasa.
Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua announced on his official X account, urging Kenyans to take advantage of the opportunity.
“Friday, 31st October, marks the final day of recruitment in Nairobi and Mombasa. Please refer to the poster below for full details. Don’t miss the opportunity!” Dr Mutua said.
The recruitment, conducted in partnership with accredited agencies, aims to connect qualified Kenyans with job opportunities in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. It targets both male and female candidates for various positions in reputable companies abroad.
In Dubai, available positions include taxi drivers, riders and delivery drivers, warehouse and e-pickers, security guards, cleaners, waitresses, housekeepers, and construction workers such as masons, carpenters, and steel fixers. Applicants must meet specific age and skill requirements, with most positions open to those between 21 and 45 years old.
Successful candidates for Dubai will benefit from a two-year renewable contract, free accommodation, meals, transport, and medical cover, as well as overtime pay and 30 days of annual leave.
In Saudi Arabia, available jobs include drivers and mechanics, also under a two-year contract with accommodation, food, transport, and medical insurance provided.
Applicants are required to bring their national ID, academic certificates, passport or proof of application, passport-sized photos, and relevant work documents. Interviews are being held at NITA Athi River in Nairobi and NITA Mombasa.
According to the announcement, a mandatory commission will apply to cover the cost of airfare, medical examinations, training, visa, and documentation. Candidates are advised to arrive early, carry a packed lunch, and be prepared for the selection process.
Dr Mutua reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating safe and fair employment opportunities abroad.
“This initiative reflects the Government’s commitment to empowering Kenyans with meaningful jobs abroad under safe and fair conditions,” the statement read.
The recruitment exercise officially concludes on Friday, October 31, 2025, marking the final phase of interviews in both Nairobi and Mombasa.
