DMM Kenya launches digital nail art technology

DMM Kenya, an affiliate of Japan-based DMM Group, has introduced O’2Nails, a digital nail printer and nail art equipment that prints any image, design or photo on your nails in 35 seconds through your smart phone or tablet.

“We are pleased to launch O’2Nails, a premium nail art equipment that can print any pattern, any color, and any design on fingernails and nail tips in 35 seconds. Indeed, O’2Nails is a capable assistant for manicurists and salon owners”, said Fuyuka Matsuzaki, DMM Kenya Director.

Usually, it takes one to three hours to complete intricate nail art, but with O’2Nails, this time reduces to around 45 minutes. This technology saves time and reduces manicure skill requirement for manicurist.

Among its features, O’2Nails machine has more than 800 patterns to choose from, including animal patterns, flowers or a French manicure. In addition, With the O’2Nails APP you can choose from a variety of options or customize your own style from your photo library on your phone. Even a selfie!

The machine connects directly to the App via Wi-Fi hot spot from the device giving you access to limitless nail art designs including individual patterns of choice. To get the perfect finish, the machine automatically detects the size of the nail and paints accordingly.

“As the pioneers, we hope to grow in the market and support the beauty industry players to increase their customer base and enhance their experience, ultimately improving their profit margins,” adds Ms. Matsuzaki.

Speaking during the launch event, Terry Mungai, entrepreneur in Kenya’s beauty industry and the Director of Ashleys Hair and Beauty Academy said that nail art is a growing trend and O’2Nails provides a new opportunities for the beauty industry.

“The secret to thriving in the beauty industry is customer satisfaction. Therefore, we must continuously find ways to deliver the best services and new technologies such as O’2Nails provides such an opportunity,” said Mrs Mungai.

O’2Nails will retail at Ksh 85,000 and can be purchased directly from DMM Kenya.
