On 1st April, 2024, Dimension Data will undergo a significant transformation, commencing operations under the brand of NTT DATA. This rebranding initiative marks a pivotal moment for the company, as it aligns its local focus with enhanced global expertise, creating new avenues for clients, employees, and business growth across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market.

In Kenya, Dimension Data has rebranded to NTT Data effective April, following regulatory approval by the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA). The transition is expected to usher in a new era for the company, introducing NTT DATA’s renowned global services to not only in Kenya but in East Africa.

Through a comprehensive array of services and innovation ranging from consulting, applications, infrastructure, connectivity, and operations, the company’s clients will benefit from the assurance of partnering with a globally recognized and respected technology provider.

Dimension Data Managing Director for East and West Africa, Mr Richard Hechle, expressed excitement about embracing the next chapter as NTT DATA, highlighting the continuity of the legacy and experience, coupled with a renewed focus on growth and innovation. “This evolution promises a differentiated, consistent and enhanced client experience through world-class platform-delivered managed services,” he said.

While operating under the NTT DATA umbrella, the company reaffirmed its commitment to local markets while gaining access to an expanded range of global resources. Leveraging global best practices, NTT DATA is expected to offer an enriched portfolio of services and tailored industry solutions across sectors such as retail, financial services, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and mining.

This will include an extended suite of digital assets, innovative technologies, and industry-specific solutions, enabling the company to address evolving client needs with precision and agility.

Mr Hechle emphasized ongoing investments in local talent development, industry-leading solutions, and sustainable growth across East and West Africa. He underscored the importance of the company’s continuous upskilling local talent saying it was key to remaining abreast with evolving technology trends especially in the advent of Artificial Intelligence.

The rebranding initiative is also expected to pave the way for increased growth and investment opportunities. “Our focus as the leadership team is to grow our business in East and West Africa, with plans to capitalize on emerging opportunities in markets like Ethiopia and Rwanda,” he said.

As Dimension Data transitions into NTT DATA, Mr Hechle noted that the company will remain dedicated to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. He said rebranding signals both a continuation of past achievements and the beginning of new possibilities.

Mr Alan Turnley-Jones, CEO of Dimension Data Middle East and Africa, echoed this sentiments, expressing enthusiasm for the enhanced access to NTT DATA’s broader solutions and services. He emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering with speed and agility, now under a unified global banner, to meet and exceed client expectations.
