Britam appoints Christopher Minter to its Board

Britam Holdings Plc has appointed Swiss Re Head of Principal Investments and Acquisitions Christopher Minter to its Board effective December 20.

In a notice sent to The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) and the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), the company said that it is banking on Mr. Minter’s experience from Swiss Re where he is responsible for acquisitions and divestments of both strategic and financial holdings.

“The Board of Directors of Britam Holdings Plc would like to welcome the appointment of Mr Minter and looks forward to benefit from his skills, knowledge and experience,” read the notice.

Mr Minter has 25 years’ experience in Investments Management, Private Equity, Corporate Development and Finance.

Prior to joining Swiss Re, his portfolio included senior positions including at Deutsche Bank between 2001 and 2002 and at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Prague and Zurich between 1993 and 2001 serving as an advisor to clients on large transactions.

Mr Minter holds a Master’s Degree in Law and History from The University of Cambridge and is a fellow of the chartered Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
