Body of missing NMG employee found

The body of a woman who went missing on Tuesday last week has been found at the City Mortuary in Nairobi.

Mildred Odira who worked as a switchboard operator for Foresight Company domiciled at the Nation Centre and owned by the media group was last seen by security guards on January 29 at her residence in Kariobangi South when she boarded a taxi en route to hospital.

Ms Odira’s sister Maureen Onyango confirmed that they found her body at the mortuary

“Millie is no more, we have found her at the City Mortuary,” The Nation reported.

Before her death, Ms Odera had been diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension and ulcers.

Security guards confirmed that she wanted to seek medical treatment at Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital.

The taxi driver was arrested on Saturday for grilling in connection with Ms Odera’s disappearance. He told Ms Odera’s relatives that he dropped the deceased at the hospital where he only spent only 20 minutes.

However, Nation’s investigations show that the driver spent 1 hour 27 minutes at the facility.
