Hollywood’s leading performers gathered in Los Angeles on Sunday for the 32nd annual ceremony formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, marking its first edition under the streamlined title, the Actor Awards.
Hosted by Kristen Bell and streamed live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall, the rebranded show reflects organizers’ push to sharpen the event’s identity for global audiences.
According to SAG-AFTRA, the name change was designed to “laser-focus” the ceremony’s purpose: honoring actors in film and television, as the guild adapts its flagship show for a broader streaming audience.
Lifetime Honor for Harrison Ford
Veteran actor Harrison Ford received the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award, presented by Woody Harrelson. The honor places Ford among past recipients including Jane Fonda, Sally Field, Barbra Streisand, Helen Mirren, Robert De Niro and Morgan Freeman.

Jessie Buckley claimed Leading Female Actor for Hamnet, and Amy Madigan won Supporting Female Actor for Weapons.

In drama, medical series The Pitt won Ensemble, with Noah Wyle earning Male Actor in a Drama Series. Keri Russell was named Female Actor in a Drama Series for The Diplomat.
Limited series honors were split between Adolescence and Dying for Sex. Owen Cooper won Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for Adolescence, while Michelle Williams took the female category for Dying for Sex.
Stunt Categories
In action performance, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning won Motion Picture stunt ensemble, while The Last of Us took the television equivalent, underscoring the growing prominence of large-scale franchise productions in guild voting.
The ceremony’s shift to a global streaming platform and its pared-down branding signal SAG-AFTRA’s effort to future-proof one of Hollywood’s most visible union-backed events, as awards shows navigate declining linear audiences and increased competition for cultural relevance.
