Safaricom partners with Showmax to entice home fibre subscribers

Safaricom has partnered with Showmax to offer its Home Fibre customers a one month unlimited access to the streaming service at no extra cost.

The offer targets families more so during the April holiday season as both firms seek to appeal to their customers.

Besides the unlimited access, for the first time, Kenyan viewers can stream Game of Thrones which enters its eighth season on April 15. The service will also offer Supa Modo, the critically acclaimed Kenyan film starting April 4.

“We are glad to partner with Showmax to bring a whole world of fun and entertainment to our customers. Our fibre service has continued to record strong demand to connect more homes as more families seek value for money,” said Sylvia Mulinge, Chief Customer Officer, Safaricom.

All Safaricom Home customers will automatically receive a link to the service once they renew their subscription through M-PESA between March 24 and 15th May 2019.

The link will allow customers to log in to Showmax from up to 5 devices and to stream from two devices simultaneously.

Showmax is a video-on-demand service that allows any customer with an internet connection to watch a variety of content including movies, TV shows and kids’ shows at their free time.

 The service can be accessed across a range of devices including smartphones, computers, and web browsers on both internet connected Smart TVs or TVs connected to Smart TV Boxes.
