Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been re-arrested outside Milimani Law Courts over a past assault case. Police say he will be arraigned in court tomorrow, The Standard reports.
The MP was re-arrested few hours after he was freed on a Ksh500,000 cash bail with two sureties of Ksh1 million.
He had spent two nights in police cells after he was arrested over derogatory utterance against the Presidency.

When he appeared at the Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday, Owino denied the charges. He spent the second night at Kileleshwa Police Station awaiting a ruling on his bail application.
The case was set to be mentioned on October 4.
It is not clear what new charges the police will be prosecuting him for.
