The Co-operative Bank of Kenya (Co-op Bank) has been named Kenya’s Best Retail Bank and Best Digital Bank at the 2026 Euromoney Awards for Excellence.
The awards were presented on Thursday, 16th July 2026, at The Peninsula in London, bringing together leading financial institutions from across the world.
The dual recognition reflects the continued execution of Co-op Bank’s Good to Great Strategy, anchored on customer-centricity, seamless customer experience, digital enablement and sustainable growth. Co-operative Bank serves over 9.8 million account holders through an integrated network of physical, digital and alternative channels, with over 90% of transactions processed through digital and alternative channels.

The Euromoney Awards add to a list of recent accolades won by the Bank that include; SME Bank of the Year in Africa at the African Banker Awards, Best Commercial Bank of the Year, Kenya, by the International Banker Africa and North Africa Banking Awards, the SME Financier of the Year – Africa (Gold) award and the Product Innovation of the Year – Africa award of the Global SME Finance Awards 2025.
