Airtel has embarked on a nationwide activation campaign to promote its newest voice product in a bid to drive uptake and sales.

The product, dubbed “Tubonge”, which was launched in March, targets Kenyans from all walks of life that rely on making calls as their preferred mode of communication and is touted to simplify the lives of consumers by offering great value for money.

The countrywide activations will run between 10th and 17th July and will see Airtel consumers engage with the service provider across major towns such as Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Meru, Eldoret, Nakuru and Nyeri. This roadshow campaign comes a few days after the telecommunications firm launched a digital and electronic media campaign across various media stations that have seen consumers rave about the new product.

Tubonge offers three options to consumers, a daily offer for Kshs10, a weekly offer for Kshs50 and a monthly offer that goes for Kshs150. All Tubonge offers come with 100 minutes for Airtel to Airtel calls per day and a Ksh2 calling rate to any other network.

In a statement, Airtel Kenya CEO, Prasanta Das Sarma expressed his joy in the great uptake of Tubonge since it was launched in the market three month ago.

“The success of Tubonge has so far been attributed to its convenience and affordability which remains the anchor of Airtel’s business; offering innovative and value for money products and services to its customers.‎ We therefore hope that these activations across the country will give more Kenyans the opportunity to connect to their friends and loved ones at affordable rates,” he said.

To subscribe to Tubonge, customers get to dial *544# and choose the second option which gives them the various categories for daily, weekly or monthly offers.
