Hull City fans who won a trip to Kenya in February during the AllStars versus Hull City FC match at the KCOM stadium in the UK have landed in the country for a one-week tour.
The 10 fans and their partners who are in the country courtesy of Hull City shirt sponsor SportPesa toured Nairobi’s tourist attractions, David Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary, The Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum and Kazuri beads.
The group, which includes a Kenyan living in the UK, will also tour Maasai Mara National Reserve, Diani, Wasini Island among other top attractions in the country.
“We are committed to make a big contribution to boosting the country’s sports tourism business. This is why we saw it fit to reward some of the Hull City fans with a trip to Kenya so that they get to experience the beauty of our country,” said SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri.

“It is even more wonderful that this is the first time in Africa and in Kenya for most of these fans and we hope that they will come back for more fun experiences.”
In February, SportPesa partnered with Kenya Tourism Board and Kenya Airways, pledging to work together to promote sports tourism.
“My expectation is to see wildlife and to enjoy myself and experience life,” said one of the visitors, Leslie Melbourne.
“This is heaven on earth,” said Madison Fellers who had never set foot in Africa prior to this trip. “This is crazy I never thought I would ever do something crazy like this,” she said amid laughter as she fed a giraffe at the Giraffe Centre in Karen. “It kissed me on the face, they are so gentle.”
