Jalang’o Graduates From Daystar University, Sparks 2022 Speculation

Popular comedian and media personality Jalang’o, real name Felix Odiwuor, on Friday, November 13 graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Community Development from Daystar University.

He was among graduands celebrated during the university’s 43rd graduation ceremony, which took place online and was streamed on multiple platforms.

The Kiss FM presenter was supposed to graduate in June but the ceremony was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Excited, Jalang’o described his graduation as the culmination of hard work and determination.

The funnyman thanked God for his accomplishments, and dedicated the graduation to his late father.

“The sacrifices, late nights and now we win! This is for you Dad I know you are smiling from heaven! Mum i told you I will do it! I will always make you proud!” he wrote.

Jalang’o also took time to thank his lecturers and classmates at Daystar University.

His employer, Radio Africa-owned Kiss FM, also took to social media to control Jalang’o, who hosts the morning show alongside Kamene Goro.

In previous interviews, Jalang’o stated that lack of finances stopped him from accessing university education after high-school.

Jalang’o had previously explained that his decision to study Community Development for his undergraduate degree was tied to his political ambitions.

The comedian has previously expressed interest in vying for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat in the 2022 General Elections.

A degree is one of the Constitutional requirements candidates must fulfill to run for MP.

“I choose community development because as MP for Lang’ata constituency, I have to be able to take care of community matters,” he explained in a past interview.

The comedian has also found success in recent months with his online channel Jalas TV, which includes one-on-one interviews with well-known Kenyan personalities.
