Chams Media Limited has this week launched a new TV show known as Kuigereka Ruraya, a vernacular program series that will be featuring Kenyans living and working abroad.

The television content production Company which is owned by veteran Kenyan journalist Alex Chamwada, on Thursday signed a contract with Mediamax Networks led by Chief Executive Officer Ken Ngaruiya.

The Kuigereka Ruraya show targets to tap into the Kikuyu audience and will premiere at 7.30pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

This becomes the third TV show launched by Chs Media after the popular Daring Abroad which airs on NTV Kenya, and The Chamwada Report which aired on KTN News Channel until late 2019.

Chams Media Chief Executive Officer Alex Chamwada said this is another milestone for his Company as it seeks to create more informative and inspiring content.

“Kenyans living abroad contribute a lot to Kenya’s socioeconomic development so this is a sector we need to tap into given that many Kenyans are eager to know what is happening around the world. This show will bring the world closer the our audiences,” Chamwada said.

On his part, Mediamax Networks CEO Ken Ngaruiya exuded confidence that the partnership will see more engaging and educative content aired on Kameme TV.

“It (Kuigereka Ruraya show) will give Kenyans hope and inspiration and showcase to them that they can pursue greener pastures abroad in different careers,” Ngaruiya said.

The concept of the new show is similar to the existing Daring Abroad which also features Kenyans living and working abroad, with the only difference being that the new series targets a specific audience.

During the launch, Chams Media also unveiled a new talent in Wanjiru wa Mwaura who will be hosting the series. She will also be expected to travel around the world to produce new content.
