Bench Events and Questex Hospitality Group, organisers of the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF), will host the inaugural Mediterranean Resort & Hotel Real Estate Forum (MR&H) from 9-11 November 2015 at the NH Collection Eurobuilding Hotel in Madrid.

The conference will be opened by Taleb D. Rifai, secretary-general of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). According to UNWTO, tourist arrivals in the Mediterranean destinations will reach over 500 million in 2030. However despite the regions popularity, destinations around the Mediterranean face several challenges – economic, political and environmental.

The MR&H forum will feature 70 industry leaders, expert speakers and moderators who will be discussing the outlook for both the emerging and mature destinations in the region, the challenges these destinations face in the long-term, how they can adapt to changing market conditions and what opportunities they offer.

Mr Jonathan Worsley, Chairman of Bench Events commented “We are incredibly excited to be launching MR&H this year and providing a platform for private equity investors, industry captains, owners, developers, advisors and financiers to gather and drive developments in the region forward”.
