Regional retailer Nakumatt Holdings has launched a prizes galore Christmas customer reward programme. The customer reward programme dubbed, Become a Millionaire with Nakumatt, will run through the forthcoming Christmas and New Year festivities with loyal customers standing a chance to win a Kshs 1million grand prize.
Alongside the customer reward programme, Nakumatt will also be undertaking various social responsibility initiatives anchored on its Think Green; Go Blue campaign geared at imploring all our customers to consider allowing their shopping to be packed in reusable bags, used cartons and bales instead of plastic paper bags. Nakumatt is also collaborating with Dial a Delivery and Wanadamu to mobilise thanksgiving gifts in aid of the paediatric ward at Kenyatta National Hospital throughout this festive season.
Nakumatt Holdings Regional Operations and Strategy Director Thiagarajan Ramamurthy disclosed that the Kshs25million customer reward programme would feature 1001 winners. Kenyatta National Hospital CEO Richard Lesiyampe, who also attended the function, welcomed the support programme by Nakumatt Holdings.
“At Kenyatta National Hospital, we acknowledge the fact that that no Government has ever made adequate provisions for its citizen’s healthcare without the support of individuals, family trusts and private entities such as Nakumatt,” Lesiyampe said. And added: “Nakumatt’s gesture to mobilise its customers to help us spread cheer and smiles to our customers this festive season is a most welcome gesture. I am particularly encouraged that this appears to be a start of what may turn to be a long term and more sustainable partnership with Nakumatt Holdings and its customers.”
Nakumatt shoppers at all its 30 branches in Kenya will comprise the 998 winners who stand a chance to win shopping vouchers starting from Kshs, 5,000, to Kshs 100,000 alongside the two grand prize winners who stand a chance to win Kshs 500,000 and Kshs 1 million respectively.
“The festive season is here with us and Nakumatt Holdings is proudly rolling out a prize galore customer reward programme and community support project to say asante sana for the support extended by our smart customers,” Ramamurthy explained.
“This campaign will also be complemented by various prizes donated by our suppliers and associates across all our 30 branches in Kenya besides collecting gifts for the young patients at Kenyatta National Hospital and raising awareness on the need to reuse shopping bags.”
To stand a chance to win, Nakumatt Customers will need to spend Kshs 1,500 worth in its stores to receive a single entry coupon. Nakumatt will progressively pick the winners in six weekly draws ahead of the main grand draw scheduled for early January 2013.
