Huawei has launched the Huawei P9 in the Kenyan market. The dual-lens P9 sets a new standard in smartphone photography.

In a generation smitten with photography, Huawei P9 becomes the first smart phone co-engineered with the global iconic brand, Leica Camera AG, and will allow users to capture vivid colours and striking black at white images.

Speaking during the event at Thu Hub, Karen, Huawei Kenya Vice Country Director, Zhangxialong said the company seeks to help consumers take photography to the next level. He also added that the mix of technology and collaboration with Leica has seen the production of a more advanced Smartphone in the Kenyan market.




“Huawei is excited to give P9 users the best smart phone photography experience by leveraging the unrivalled capabilities of Leica, the leader in the world of imaging for more than 100 years,” said Mr. Zhangxiaolong.

Consumers, especially the youth in Kenya, are much attracted into the world of ‘selfies’ and smartphone companies are going all out to meet these demands. “Consumers around the world use their smart phones to take billions of pictures each year, making photography critical to user experience. P9 users can now capture images with unmatched clarity, richness and authenticity, with a masterfully designed and powerful smart phone that looks and feels incredible,” he added.

The Huawei P9, which retails at Ksh54,999, brings together best-in-class hardware and software, from optical lenses, to sensors, to image processing algorithms, empowering users to capture the highest-quality images.
