Car lifestyle magazine Vroom kicks off in Kenya

Vroom Magazine,  an automobile/lifestyle styled publication launched on September 14 by distributing free copies of the 40-page September edition to motorists in traffic along Uhuru Highway, Nairobi.

The publication, which appears in print and online, is available for pick up in selected malls in Nairobi and online via the magazine portal website, issuu.com.

Vroom, which is affiliated with motor insurance firm SaveKubwa, said that it will offer a refreshingly bold lifestyle content with a unique focus on all things cars.

“With test-driven car reviews, coverage of events in the automotive industry, interviews with petrol heads, and amazing car photography, Vroom is poised to be a must-have magazine for both old and new motoring fans in the country,” the magazine said in a statement.

Additionally, Vroom also contains topics ranging from health and fitness, financial advice, food, travel, decor and technology reviews.

The monthly magazine targets an audience of between ages 25-50 (and a median age of 35). “This audience is financially middle-class, with most of them owning at least one car. The Vroom reader
is educated, tech-savvy, ambitious, and fun-loving,” Vroom said.

Vroom will be operating on a free distribution model via a network of high-end shopping malls, taxi services, and other handpicked automotive-related outlets. The magazine will also be distributed in
traffic to motorists and is also available in an easy to download format online.
