Zoe Cormack is a historian and anthropologist based in the African Studies Centre at the University of Oxford and a research associate with the Pitt Rivers Museum. Her research focusses on cultural heritage, landscape, material and visual culture and the history of collecting and museums in Eastern Africa. She has conducted extensive fieldwork in Kenya and South Sudan. She completed her PhD in history at the University of Durham. Before coming to Oxford, she held post-doctoral positions at the Open University, the British Institute in Eastern Africa and the British School at Rome.
