The Kenyan online marketplace has started the year 2018 with a new entrant. Africa Sokoni brings African customers and retailers together online in a hassle-free shopping experience.

Sokoni CEO Ebrima Fatty, the marketplace’s main focus is to put the power back into the hands of the African consumer. Africa Sokoni will achieve this by leveraging the power of internet and through the introduction of relevant and scalable technology solutions.

“Africa Sokoni is solving the structural gap problems between demand and supply in African markets where customers have to travel from a sector of the market with excess demand to another sector with excess supply. At Africa Sokoni, the market is one and accessible wherever the customer is,” says Fatty.

Africa Sokoni has brought to the Kenyan market free warehouse services to vendors and a seamless procedure to getting access to your online store.

Africa Sokoni’s return policy is non-punitive compared to the other markets, he said. Delivery has been a major hiccup to online shoppers and Africa Sokoni has come up with an in-house delivery team offering one day delivery within Nairobi and two days outside Nairobi.

With Africa looking at 500 million internet users by 2020, Africa Sokoni seeks to redefine shopping in Africa. A mobile App will soon be launched to tap into the growing smartphone market.

Africa Sokoni went live on the 12th January 2018. “The Kenyan online shopping experience will now be more competitive, more solution based and efficient,” says Fatty.
