Capita Registrars, which offers professional company secretarial services in Kenya, will hold a training for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups to enhance their skills in financial management and compliance with various legal requirements.
Topics to be covered during the training include how SME owners can ensure adherence to the Companies Act 2015, attaining of statutory and regulatory compliance as well as strategy and financial planning.
The one-day training, which is part of the Capita Registrars The Essential Series – will be held on 26TH JULY 2019 at PRIDEINN Hotel in Westlands, Nairobi. This will be the third edition since the company launched The Essential Series training programme to help SMEs and entrepreneurs streamline their operations.
The third edition will explore various business issues including, among others:
- Registration of companies and business
- Intellectual Property
- Tax Compliance
- Highlights of labour laws
- Compliance with Companies Act for your Company
- Financial Planning and Management.
Facilitators of the training will be drawn from legal and financial backgrounds.
Silvana Wanjiru Kamau, founder of S.W. Kamau & Company Advocates, will explore the various legal issues in business. She is an experienced legal practitioner with expertise on start-ups, corporate governance, capital markets and intellectual property. Silvana is an advocate, commissioner for oaths and notary public practising in Nairobi Kenya
Jeremy Rio, the managing Partner at Fie-Consult, a financial Advisory & Strategy Consulting firm in Nairobi, will train on management and financial aspects of business. He has five years of experience in conducting industry research, feasibility studies, business planning & financial modelling for businesses across sub-Saharan Africa.
The training costs Ksh5,000, including meals.
