Azuri Technologies, a PayGo solar service provider, has invested more than Ksh 2.5 billion in solar home systems countrywide since 2012.

The company has increased its reach from 16 counties last year to all the 47 countries nationally with a network of 93 retail outlets.

Speaking during a press briefing in Nairobi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Simon Branfield-Garth said they have integrated solar satellite televisions package which provide the same customer experience across the country whether one is in Nairobi or Turkana.

“We offer free installations of our products customers and we have so far created more than 2,000 employment opportunities through their in-field agents, sales, marketing, logistics, customer care and technical staff,” he said.

The company, he noted, has its presence in 12 countries in Africa among them Nigeria, Ethiopia, Ghana and their products reach even the remotest off-grid consumer across the countries.

Through their products, he added they have promoted other services like e-education, e-commerce, financial services and agricultural services where they are working closely with commercial financial partners such as Equitel, Safaricom and APA Insurance.

“The commitment of our partners has been crucial to our success and we are able to recruit the best agents, find new customers and provide the highest quality to our customers,” Bransfield explained.

The Managing Director Snehar Shah said Kenya is the largest market in Africa and the company is offering a portfolio of leading UK- designed products from its Quad lighting solution to the Azuri TV product that combines a 24” TV with 58 channels of integrated satellite content from Zuku.

“Our lighting energy is aimed at improving the living standard of people which is reliable and cheap sources of energy,” Shah said.
