Samsung launched the ColoursofKenya campaign on Sunday with an Instameet at the Presbyterian Foundation Centre, Ridgeways, Nairobi.

Photography enthusiasts gathered to launch the Samsung digital campaign dubbed #ColoursofKenya with a mini-Holi festival. The festival is associated with the Hindu festival Krishna where people throw coloured powder and water on each other.

The campaign is meant to unveil a digital gallery made up entirely of photos submitted by ordinary Kenyans chronicling their everyday experience. Photographers, bloggers and Instagram influencers are encouraged to upload photos on their social media profiles with the hashtag #SamsungColoursofKE

The top ten photographers stand a chance to have their photos displayed on Samsung UHD TV sets across 100 Samsung retail stores across the country  for  four weeks .The overall winner will be awarded with a 32-inch UHD TV the end of the campaign.

‘Colours represent the Samsung 4K SUHD TV that completely redefines the viewing experience with a revolutionary Nano-crystal technology that reveals brilliant colors. The Instameet is meant to create brand love for the revolutionary Samsung SUHD TV using  the theme of colours that  the TV  represents,” she adds.

InstaMeets are events happening globally where Instagrammers meet each other, share photography advice and create content together to post on their personal feeds. Most brands are using this to showcase their brands and build brand love in their audiences.
