Safetrac Ltd, a fleet information, tracking and management company, has announced a new partnership with Damco one of the world’s leading providers of freight forwarding and supply chain management service. Through this new partnership, Safetrac will provide Damco with a standard vehicle tracking solution, IMT 54, which enhances cargo security for vehicles through tracking within East Africa.
The solution also has an electronic seal making it hard for cargo to be tampered with and ensures drivers are route compliant. This new partnership with Damco is a big boost to the logistics sector in Kenya, which accounts for about 8-9% of GDP and it is likely to remain a major driver of economic growth in the country.
