It was all celebration at the 9th graduation ceremony of University of Sunderland students who were been studying at INtel College, Nairobi. The ceremony was presided over by the President of the University of Sunderland, Prof Fidler, the Chancellor of University of Nairobi, Dr. Vijoo Rattansi, and other leading academics.

In all, 550 guests witnessed the conferment of 133 graduands, who graduated with degree programmes in the fields of Business and Computing. Joy ruled the day, as the University launched two full scholarships for their September 2015 intake at INtel College.

The scholarships were announced by Prof Fidler, for the Masters degree in Project Management and the top up year, for the Bachelor degree in Banking and Finance for both programmes of study at their partner institution in Nairobi Yet another surprise was in store with Kenya Airways giving away one round trip ticket from Nairobi to London to a lucky guest as the ceremony came to an end.

“This has been indeed a celebration in every way,” said one parent. Employability is now top on the agenda for both the University of Sunderland and INtel College, who are keenly monitoring graduate employability statistics, providing employability skills to their students and sourcing stakeholder feedback from industry, in order to create graduates with high market value.
