President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday attended a ceremony in Kajiado County for the ordination of the leader of an age group of the Maasai community. This is the first time the highly-regarded rite has been graced by a president. Mr Uhuru, dressed in Maasai regalia, was escorted to the venue by newly initiated Morans in their famous colourful attire. The ceremony is held every 10 years.

MMMMH, YUMMY: President Uhuru joins other leaders in devouring nyama choma during the function. And he didn’t wait to be served!

THAT’S MY CUT: The president goes for what looks as the sweetest part of the meat.
