The disruption has caused losses to many businesses running into billions. Most businesses operated half-day with others closing the entire day. Even the Nairobi Securities Exchange closed at noon, wiping out huge chunks of investors cash.
Mr Obama is set to land after 6pm local time, according to credible sources. He will use terminal 2, which has been taken over by security forces. Mobile networks will also suffer disruptions when Obama arrives, according to Safaricom. The airspace will be closed for nearly an hour while he will be arriving.
