US President Barack Obama’s itinerary remains a secret affair, but you can still catch a glimpse of the world’s powerful man during his tour in Nairobi. Here are some of the places the public will be able to see the US president.
Saturday, 25th July 2015: The US president will officiate the launch of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit at the United Nations Headquarters in Gigiri. Though this will be on invite only.
After the GES conference, Mr Obama is scheduled to pay tribute to the victims and survivors of the 1998 US embassy bombings in Kenya at the bomb blast area, where he will address a press conference before attending a state dinner with Kenya government officials. It’s a public function at State House.

Sunday, 26th July 2015: President Obama will meet civil society organisation representatives in a move meant to highlight their contributions to Kenya’s democracy. The venue has not been disclosed but that would be a good opportunity to see him.
He will then hold a public speech session at the Safaricom Arena in Kasarani. The topics to be covered in the discussions include wildlife trafficking, girls’ education and efforts to counter violent extremism. This is an invite only event but he is likely to acknowledge the public and say a word to them.
The other venue is Kenyatta University, which he will tour after Kasarani before leaving for Addis Ababa.
Because of the tight security the best viewership, however, would be possible TV.
