Kenya’s C‐level delegates drawn from education, healthcare, agriculture and hospitality sectors will attend The Kenya-Angola Trade and Investment Conference in Luanda, Angola.

The Conference that seeks to catalyse Nairobi‐Luanda trade and investment relations will give Kenyan business and corporate leaders the opportunity to explore the Angola market and engage in both Business to Business and Business to Consumer conversations.

The Kenya Trade and Investment Conference Spokesperson Anne Maria Moraa said the Conference that takes place on July 23 offers Kenya the opportunity to kill four birds with one stone.

‘‘Delegates will access first hand market intelligence on Angola’s prospects from experts and key players, participate in structured open discussions with senior members of the Angolan government, engage with Angolan C‐level executives, develop strategies to grow and develop education, healthcare, agriculture and hospitality spaces’’ said Moraa.

Leaders in the education sector will position Kenya as the natural education destination for Angola. Intra‐Africa relations observers say this is a golden opportunity for Kenyan universities and international schools to create top of mind awareness in the Angolan space.

‘‘There is a good number of Angolan students training in Kenya. The Kenyan education system is a natural fit for Angolan human capital development strategies. We have world class universities and international schools that should interest Angolan parents and students’’ said Dr Aloys Ojore, the Education Lead at the
Conference.

Moraa said agriculture players will also seek to seek to grow and develop the Angolan tea and coffee space by engaging in contract packaging and selling directly to Angola.

‘‘Kenyan tea and coffee players can substantially increase their margins by selling directly to Angola. A number of visionary players in the agriculture space have hit the ground running’’ said Moraa.

She added other sectors that will be represented include hospitality and healthcare where players who will position Kenya as a medical tourist destination. Kenya has superior medical facilities and Angolans can visit Kenya for medical attention and thereafter proceed for vacations.
