Kenyan close to making a plane powered by cycling

They say necessity is mother to invention and **w true for Eng Thaddaus Lebanon Muchuma. Mr Muchuma (in white apron) has been nursing the dream of making a boat and plan that can be powered by simply cycling.

Seems his dream is slowly, but surely shaping up.  On Tuesday, Cabinet Secretary, Education, Science and Technology, Prof Jacob Kaimenyi (right) visited the Hydro***alplane Research Project, under which Eng. Muchuma is working,  based at the National Cereals and Produce Board in Nairobi Industrial Area, and was impressed with progressed. He ***ured the innovator of funding.

Eng. Muchuma has been working on the project for the last six years with funding from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology under the National Commission for Science Technology and Innovation.   He is developing a cycling boat (Aerohydroboat), which w*** be further develo*** into a cycling aircraft (Aero***al plane).
