KCB has signed a three year strategic partnership deal with Laugh Industry, the organizers of the popular Kids Festival, for the lender to offer an e-payment solution during all of their events.

This effort will help the premier comedy firm improve on accountability and ease the consumers’ journey while deepening KCB’s foray into digital payments. The deal is in line with the bank’s plans to revamp its youth proposition that seeks to empower the young people to better plan for their future under the KCB Cub Account platform.

Going forward, everyone attending all Kids Festival events will be issued with a KCB prepaid card for paying entry fees. This mode of payment will kick off immediately with the first event being held at The Splash, Carnivore this Saturday 29th August, 2015.

“The Bank will continue to drive its cashlite agenda leveraging on partnerships. KCB’s support to the youth bracket is a force that will propel this country forward towards financial inclusion,” KCB’s Retail Director Anastacia Kimtai said.

“Tapping into e-payments will help create sustainable and enabling businesses, looking beyond the next century. The shift to electronic payments will also bring the youth into the mainstream financial system and enable smoother, more efficient commerce” she added.

“Staying relevant for 15 years in any given field let alone comedy is not an easy fete.  Today we mark a key milestone as we seek to digitize our operations. We have enjoyed a close relationship with KCB and today we cement this bond in an effort that will ensure our business maximizes revenue and improves on efficiency,” said Laugh Industry CEO Daniel Ndambuki.
