Mr Jimmy Gathu has quit K24 TV to join Nation Media Group English radio station, Nation FM.  Mr Gathu, a veteran radio talk show presenter, will take over the State of the Nation morning show, which runs on week days from 6am.

He replaces Ms Angela Angwenyi, who left the station on June 26 barely two years after joining the radio station.  The radio presenter said she had quit radio after 10 years in the industry.

Mr Gathu presented the morning show on K24, which is run by Mediamax Networks, a company owned by the Kenyatta family. Nation FM revealed this on social media post saying: “Join Jimmy and Mumbi every day from 6am as they talk to influencers on issues that are making headlines.”

Jimmy Gathu is known in social circles for his role in an advert advocating fidelity in relationships, Wacha Mpango wa Kando, where he advised married people to remain faithful to their spouses.
