Glovo Kenya Appoints New General Manager

Priscilla Muhiu. She has been appointed as the new General Manager for Glovo, Kenya.

Glovo on Tuesday announced the appointment of Priscilla Muhiu as the General Manager for Kenya taking over from William Benthall who has been appointed Glovo’s General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior to her appointment Priscilla was the Africa Marketing Head for Glovo, where she led the team that successfully launched the Glovo brand in Kenya and Côte d’Ivoire.

Her previous experience includes working with tech companies such as Sendy and OLX.

She boasts of 13 years in business development and marketing — nine of which have been spent working specifically with tech companies while she is also very passionate about solving problems in Africa through the use of innovative technologies.

“Priscilla has a wealth of industry knowledge when it comes to growth hacking, market strategy development, and business modeling,” The company said in a statement.

Priscilla Muhiu, General Manager for Kenya, said: “I am delighted to be taking over from William [Benthall] as the general manager for Kenya. I’m looking forward to continuing the good work that we have done here with Glovo, in a market that is very vibrant and full of promising prospects.”

Mr Benthall was appointed as General Manager for Glovo Sub-Saharan Africa in August after serving as GM Glovo Kenya for one year and four months.

During his stint, Mr Benthall presided over the growth of the on-demand delivery start-up after the Barcelona based company set up shop in Kenya in December 2018.

Since then the company has expanded operations both in the services it offers and the cities/towns in which it operates.

Glovo delivers food, shopping, foodstuffs, household items, alcoholic drinks, beverages while it operates in all major cities in Kenya including Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru and fast-growing towns like Kitengela
