Budget for 2015/16 fiscal year to be read on June 11

The Budget statement for the fiscal year 2015/16 will be delivered to the National Assembly on Thursday, the 11th June, 2015. In a press release, the National Treasury Principal Secretary Dr Kamau Thugge, said Cabinet Secretary Mr Henry Rotich will deliver  the budget statement  to the National Assembly at 3.00 pm.

This will be the third budget Mr Rotich will be delivering to the National Assembly since he was appointed the National Treasury Cabinet Secretary in 2013. The Cabinet Secretary is expected to deliver Ksh2.1 trillion budget which was approved by the National Assembly last week on Wednesday. The Members of Parliament unanimously adopted the 2015/16 budget estimates after passing the Division of Revenue Bill.
