BUSTED! Ciku Muiruri trains men on cheating tricks

Former gritty radio presenter Ciku Muiruri (above) caused sleepless nights for cheating couples by busting them through smartly choreographed telephone conservations live on radio.

Her mission, while criticised as uncouth and out to break up families and poison love, had a noble mission: discouraging infidelity and helping spouses to discover their partners’ cheating ways.

Two and a half years since she quit radio, Ms Muiruri has switched sides and is doing the opposite of what she preached on radio for a decade and a half: she has launched a consultancy service to advise cheating men on how to hide their devious acts.

She has even acquired a premium content short code for the service and advertised in the Saturday Nation today. The advert on the back page reads:

“What has Ciku Muiruri been up to? She has changed sides. Now she advises the boys how to avoid being busted. SMS CHEAT to 225** to find out what she tells them so you arm yourself.”

It is not clear how Nation, a media house that espouses family values, accepted to print an advert that promotes immorality in society and era where HIV/AIDS remains a major threat and families are facing crises due to infidelity.

Ms Muiruri honed her radio skills at EasyFM (now Nation FM) where she launched the Busted show. She moved with it to Classic 105 where it attracted as many fans as critics. She left Classic on 25th December 2013.

“I want more than this. I need a bigger challenge. I want to OWN the train, not just ride on it,” she said days before leaving Radio Africa Group, which owns Classic 105, Kiss FM Radio Jambo, Hot 96, Kiss TV and the Star newspaper.

Turns out, helping cheaters is her train.
