2 A******d in Nairobi in Human T*********g Crackdown

Two men have been a******d in Nairobi in midmorning raids as part of an operation by the Transnational Organized C***e Unit (TOCU) of the Directorate of C******l Investigations (DCI) targeting a notorious human t*********g gang.

The a*****s of Dakie Jilo, 30, and Salat Galgalo, 20, in the Tasia area of Embakasi Sub-County also led to the rescue of 56 v*****s, who were believed to be v*****s of t*********g and have been taken to a place of safety, according to the police.

“During the operation, the officers raided a residential building, apprehended the offenders, and rescued 9 minors and 47 a***t v*****s,” DCI said in a statement on social media.

“The v*****s were taken to the Embakasi Police Station for protective custody while the s******s were escorted to the Muthaiga Police Station for processing pending arraignment.”

The swift action by the detectives underscores the commitment to combat human t*********g and protect vulnerable individuals from e**********n, the statement added.

DCI called upon members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to assist in apprehending more human smugglers who prey on people’s hope for a better life.
