Prudential Life Assurance Kenya on January 15, 2022 held an AFCON watch party in Nairobi. The event was attended by top influencers as well as sports and business personalities.

The firm is the Official Insurance Partner of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Notably, Prudential operates in 8 countries on the continent including AFCON host nation Cameroon.

Other markets the firm is present in are Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Nigeria.

Speaking at the watch party, Prudential Kenya Chief Executive Gwen Kinisu broke down exactly why they chose to partner with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the continental football showpiece.

“I am sure many of you are wondering why would an Insurance company choose to sponsor an African football tournament?” she posed.

Highlighting their Pan-African presence, she reiterated their commitment to supporting talent on the continent. She also noted that as a life insurer, the firm was keen on promoting healthy living and active lifestyles.
