Jacob Juma was a man of means and, it turns out, a man of family.

On the day of burial, three secret wives turned up with two children each.  In fact, four other children out of his reported six children out of wedlock, commonly referred to us wild oats, were paraded alongside the two he had with his official wife, Miriam Wairimu, during his funeral service in Bungoma County on Saturday, May 14.

Juma is said to have had three other women in his life besides Miriam who showed up on the eve of his funeral. According to reports, Jacob Juma had a Tanzania woman, a Ugandan as well as one from western Kenya as if living to the spirit of the East Africa Community.

The three claimed to have met Jacob Juma in the early 90s. They were reportedly allowed to address mourners. Miriam, Juma’s known wife’s children are aged 9 and 10 years old.

Miriam is sister to wealthy businessman Jimmy Wanjigi and apparently had never been to Jacob Juma’s rural home of Bungoma since marrying him, according to TUKO.
