Global communications services provider Avaya has launched its “Engage Roadshow” in Kenya to help provide solutions affecting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The company which has been operating in Kenya for the last four and half years is targeting clients looking to cut costs such as in bulk SMSes and other solutions like call centres. Through its SmartEngage initiative, a tailored combination of Avaya and third party solutions and services meant to help Kenyans work, learn, and transact business at the comfort of their rooms without travelling, using any mobile, computing and wearable device, the company is looking to grow its market share and build lasting solutions affecting the Kenyan business climate.
The Engage Roadshow is meant to help Avaya team interact with clients to provide mobile engagement solutions which are video-enabled, ATM like self-service kiosk where bank customers can transact with the bank’s call centre by video, virtual collaboration, email and social media. This allows the customers to switch between devices while talking to the same bank agent. With the uptake of mobile solutions and penetration of internet in the country on the surge, the company is banking on counties to help improve service provision to the people in the grassroots.
“We want to work closely with the counties so that we can provide tailor-made solutions to their specific needs and in turn help them deliver quality services to the citizens,” notes Hatem Hariri, Managing Director Avaya, North, West, East and Central Africa.
Avaya has also engaged several government bodies, banks and airlines to modernise their communication infrastructure with the latest cloud-enabled, open standards and networking solutions.
“Our mobile engagement environments would not only help accelerate the country’s modernisation of services, but also enable teams to build strong and loyal relationships and eventually drive incremental returns on investment and customer satisfaction,” added Hariri.
