Sauti Sol has released a hot new single Friend Zone alongside a Whatsapp themed, conversation-like emojis lyric video.

“Emojis texts are the new ‘means’ of communication and more specifically emotions like laughter, lust and love. We wanted to have fun with this concept seeing as the tracks we had needed visuals which best highlight these emotions as people nowadays communicate them. So we thought it was best to come up with such a video.” said the popular Kenyan Afro-pop group’s guitarist/producer, Polycarp.

Sauti Sol is trying to depict the struggles that men go through in trying to evade the friend zone status that most ladies do put them in the pursuit of wanting them for a relationship.

The group is portraying how men will do whatever they can in order to get out of the dreaded situation. It is a phenomenon that most men have experienced and many ladies can relate to.

New talent agency to tap speakers and artists

The emojis lyric video, the first of a three part video release for the song Friend Zone, showcases Sauti Sol as a group that has continually grown to embrace the current trends in the market. This goes a long way in making them a darling too many a youth.

Friend Zone is a beautiful song with a rich African melody, which superbly blends with the deep vintage guitar riffs that would make every lover of great songs a great listen.

The reception of the song has been great with several YouTube in less than three days since its release. You can watch it on YouTube and maybe emoji your way out of friend zone.
